Easy as Breathing: Writing for Women at Green Gulch Farm
Fully booked as of November 5, but there are often cancellations. If you’re interested, please contact Green Gulch Farm to be placed on the wait list.
Once again, Laurie Schley Senauke and I are leading this semi-perennial favorite retreat for women at Green Gulch Farm! Creating in community in the Wild Heart Writing style, we’ll discover and write about what we DON’T yet know.
Authentic, compelling writing comes from a place of emptiness. By simply showing up, listening, and writing what arises, we discover the ideas we need to bring to light. We calm the mind, then follow playful and provocative prompts to start our pens flowing. In timed exercises, we bypass our inner critics and write freely. Words appear. Memories surface. Tales emerge. We read them aloud and encourage one another to drop deeper and reach within.
During our days together, we’ll move as a community—dining together and lodging at the Octagonal Guest House. A willingness to be quiet and to play is all that is required; no writing experience needed. Bring pen and paper but not your laptop.
This retreat is trans- and non-binary-inclusive.

Fully booked, but email cynthia@cynthiacummins.com if you want to be on the wait list. There are always last-minute cancellations.
Join Cynthia Cummins and Amy Cooper for an autumn reset before the holidays. Through gentle poses, mindful breathwork, and guided writing, we’ll quiet the inner critic, release old stories, and rediscover balance and voice. As we yield to the body, it can soften, words can flow—real, true, and connected—opening space for inner strength, contentment, and creation.
This embodied experience allows us to “write what the body knows.” Together, we’ll enjoy an afternoon of effortless play and presence – and a welcome pause before the rush of the holiday season begins.
Space is limited. Cost is $75 or early bird $60 if paid by November 9.
To register or for questions, email cynthia@cynthiacummins.com.
My co-leader Amy Cooper teaches yoga and meditation to cultivate embodied awareness, as well as mental and physical resilience, balance and freedom. She is the owner of Shasta Yoga, and has practiced and taught for 45 years, with Iyengar Yoga as her roots and Vipassana Meditation her wings.
