Sunrise clouds over Mt. Shasta
Join Cynthia Cummins and Amy Cooper for a day (11 am to 4 pm) of contemplative and creative play. Space is limited so register soon and reserve your place in the circle of supportive women. Location is Shasta Yoga, 111 E. Alma Street in Mount Shasta, California.
By tuning into the body’s natural energy centers, we will invite writing to arise from the inside out, rather than through effort or rote technique.
We'll practice specific yoga postures to gently awaken each chakra and to allow words to flow from our lived experience and inner knowing. This embodied approach, together with playful and inspiring writing prompts, is designed to nourish writing that is fresh, authentic and grounded.
Space is limited. Cost is $88 for early bird or $100 if paid after February 1, 2026. We’ll take time for a lunch break; please bring your own. To register or for questions (about the workshop or about local accommodations if you’re traveling to Mt. Shasta), email cynthia@cynthiacummins.com.
Amy Cooper teaches yoga and meditation to cultivate embodied awareness, as well as mental and physical resilience, balance and freedom. She is the owner of Shasta Yoga, and has practiced and taught for 45 years, with Iyengar Yoga as her roots and Vipassana Meditation her wings. (www.shastayoga.com)
