Retreat to Ratna Ling in Sonoma — for Solstice

I’m excited to lead a special 3-day/2-night workshop for women and men at luxurious Ratna Ling, located in the coastal redwoods of Sonoma County — just a 90-minute drive from San Francisco.

As winter solstice approaches, we’ll gather in stillness and allow quiet presence to lead us back to ourselves. We’ll begin by invoking the muse, releasing expectations and setting aside our inner critics. Clear, compelling writing follows, seemingly without effort.

Through fresh, provocative prompts and timed exercises, we loosen our unique creativity. Words surface, memories return and stories emerge. We read aloud in an inspiring, supportive circle — no critique, only encouragement. This practice can serve as a meditation, a window to the words within, or a way to rekindle any stalled writing project. No experience is needed, only a pen, a notebook, and a willingness to play and listen to your inner voice.

You’ll be delighted by what’s on offer at Ratna Ling. It’s truly a luxurious retreat center, and yet it’s part of the Odiyan Country Center founded by Tibetan Lama Tarthang Tulku. For more information, click here.

To register, click here. Seats are limited so you’ll want to commit soon. If you book before September, you can save $100 off the $895 price, which is the rate for one guest in a private room in a shared cottage. Also included: the retreat itself and delicious vegetarian meals.
