From the perspective of the picture taker

Take a moment to study the photograph. Set a timer for 7 minutes. Write in the first person in the character of whoever you imagine to be taking this picture. (To be clear, you’re writing as the person capturing the image of the subject(s) in this photo.) Don’t think about it too much. Just start right in with the first thing that comes to mind. It might even be something the photographer is saying to the person(s) in the photograph. Or it could be an internal monologue. Whatever comes to you. Write it. As fast as you can.
