Earworms

Next time a song unleashes an earworm in your mind, set a timer for 10 minutes and do a write using the first line (or whatever line is stuck in your head) from the song. Go where it leads you. (One benefit — in addition to writing the start of your next short story, essay or novel — is that you may kill the earworm!)
